ADTRAN Adds Voice Quality to System

04/15/2008

ADTRAN Inc. has added voice quality monitoring, at no extra charge, to its operating system.

Several of the company’s products, including NetVanta routers and IP Business and Total Access gateways, support the new feature.

ADTRAN created a graphics interface for users to identify and troubleshoot voice problems. For example, administrators can look at active and historical VoIP call statistics. They also can generate charts and graphs for assessing network health, and search by date, time, extension and so on.

The voice quality monitoring tool provides information on delay, jitter, and dropped or out-of-order packets.
