Farstone, Authentium Make Licensing Agreement

10/18/2005
FarStone Technology Inc., a developer of security products and performance utilities for PCs and networks, and Authentium Inc., a technology integrator for endpoint security, announced a licensing agreement at ISPCON in Santa Clara, Calif.

Under the licensing agreement the companies will bundle FarStone's RestoreIT xSP Personal Disaster Recovery technology with Authentium's ESP Enterprise Manager and ESP Security Suite for ISPs.

RestoreIT for ESP will be available to subscribers of Authentium's ESP security platform, which includes antivirus, antispyware and antiphishing applications, a firewall, and URL and pop-up filtering.

The products are available to ISPs, enterprises and SMBs to protect PCs. ISPs can offer RestoreIT to their business customers as a value-added service that reduces their technical-support expenses.

The multiyear, worldwide licensing agreement encompasses future RestoreIT upgrades, and Authentium will offer the bundled product in various languages.
