Tollgrade Offers Providers New Platforms

Tollgrade Communications Inc. has introduced its new broadband network assurance products, including the DigiTest HUB test platform and the CheetahXD broadband service assurance platform.

The DigiTest HUB is a central office test platform that supports multiple testing and assurance environments, and facilitates migration from traditional to packet-based delivery of services. It is a 12-slot chassis that allows plug-in modules to be added to support POTS, DSL Layer 1-7 and Specials testing.

The CheetahXD Broadband Service Assurance platform manages the HFC network (from headend to CPE) by monitoring the physical elements within the network and the performance of IP services such as high-speed data and VoIP. It pinpoints network degradation, resulting in reduced trouble tickets and truck rolls, Tollgrade says. Its software includes Web-based fault and performance testing features to monitor standards-based DOCSIS and HMS transponders, as well as legacy proprietary transponders.
